I had a chance to visit Dresden on 2010 and personally viewed the largest natural green diamond ever found which is the Dresden Green Diamond. Currently, the diamond is exhibited at Neues Grünes Gewölbe (New Green Vault) in Dresdner Residenzschloss (Dresden Castle) in Dresden, Germany.

The Neues Grünes Gewölbe is part of Residenzschloss Dresden (Dresden Royal Palace) which also consists of Historisches Grünes Gewölbe (Historic Green Vault), Rüstkammer (Armoury), and Münzkabinett (Coin Cabinet). It may take you about half a day to one day to visit and view all part of this vast museum. Do make a reservation to visit Historic Green Vault as admittance to the Historic Green Vault will only be allowed with a limited-time ticket, unless you can come early to buy the ticket directly from the ticket counter.

The reservation to visit the Historic Green Vault can be made from the following website:

The Green Vault has vast collection of the treasuries including masterpieces of jewelry and precious objects made from ivory and amber. The collection of jewels are so magnificent and amazing. It is advisable also to rent the audio guide if you want to know in greater details the history of the collection. Photos of the collection and more information of the museum can be found from the following link:
